About Me
Carmen Rose Del Vecchio (she/her) is an Italian-American actor and theatre artist from the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, and is currently based in St. Louis to finish her BFA in Acting at Webster University’s Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts.
Carmen grew up a shy kid, and acting completely changed her life. What started as her parents signing her up for an audition for Honk Jr. quickly became a space where she found confidence, joy, and a huge passion for storytelling. She spent most of her childhood performing in musicals and later attended a performing arts high school, which encouraged her to pursue acting and her career as a theatre artist.
She is interested in creating theatre that centers around telling women’s stories and celebrating women of all sizes, identities, and backgrounds. Besides acting, Carmen loves music and has played violin for seven years, as well as learning piano and ukulele. While at Webster, Carmen also discovered a passion for directing, working as an Associate Director on a student-produced musical and as an Assistant Director on a show featured in Webster’s season. She’s currently developing and directing a devised piece during her final semester.
When she’s not doing theatre, Carmen is very into all things curly hair and is going to start creating social media content to help others on their own curly hair journeys. She has also started to dabble in modeling, and those photos can be found on her Instagram. She also loves cats, is forever a Hello Kitty girl, a lover of strawberries, and is currently obsessed with Conan Gray and Stephen Sanchez’s music.
